Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the website, online booking tools, SMS communications, and all services offered by Clinique Le Refuge ("we", "our"). By accessing our site, booking a treatment, or communicating with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.

If you do not accept these Terms, please do not use our services.

Clinique Le Refuge offers massage therapy, orthotherapy, kinesitherapy, prenatal massage, tapping, and cupping services. Our services are provided by qualified, certified therapists, in compliance with the practice rules applicable in Québec.

Our treatments in no way replace a medical consultation, a diagnosis, or a treatment prescribed by a health professional. If you have any doubts about your condition, we invite you to consult a doctor before booking a session.

3Booking and confirmation

Appointments can be booked online via our booking platform, by phone, or by email. Every booking is confirmed by an SMS message and/or email sent to the address provided at the time of booking.

By booking an appointment, you certify that the information provided (name, phone number, email, relevant history) is accurate, complete, and up to date. You are responsible for any inaccurate information that may affect the quality or safety of care.

4Cancellation and late-arrival policy

• Free cancellation : up to 24 hours before the appointment.
• First late cancellation : a $55 fee applies.
• Second late cancellation or no-show : a fee equal to 100% of the service cost applies.
• Late arrival : if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may be shortened or rescheduled at the therapist's discretion, with no rate reduction.

Cancellations can be made via the link in the confirmation SMS or by contacting us directly.

5Pricing and payment

Current rates are posted on our website and may be changed without notice. The rate that applies is the one in effect at the time of booking. Payment is made at the end of the session by accepted methods (cash, debit, credit, Interac e-Transfer).

An official insurance receipt can be issued upon request, in accordance with the rules of the professional orders and associations our therapists belong to.

6SMS communications and consent

By providing your phone number, you consent to receiving transactional SMS messages (confirmation, reminder, modification, or cancellation of appointments) from Clinique Le Refuge or its technical subcontractors.

Message frequency varies based on your appointments. Standard rates from your carrier may apply. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message, or by writing to us at cliniquelerefuge@gmail.com.

Withdrawing SMS consent does not affect your ability to book care by other means (phone, email, in person).

7Expected client conduct

To ensure a safe, respectful, and professional environment, we ask our clients to:

• Arrive on time and in appropriate hygienic condition.
• Disclose any relevant medical condition, injury, allergy, or pregnancy before the start of care.
• Show respect for the therapists and other clients at the clinic.
• Refrain from any inappropriate behavior, inappropriate remarks, or any gesture of a sexual nature.

Any inappropriate behavior or behavior contrary to safety standards will result in immediate termination of care, without refund, and may lead to a ban on booking future services.

8Contraindications and high-risk pregnancy

Certain medical conditions (phlebitis, fever, skin infection, severe cardiac disorders, etc.) are contraindications for massage therapy or orthotherapy. It is your responsibility to inform us.

For pregnant women, prenatal massage is offered from the 2nd trimester. Any high-risk pregnancy requires presentation of written doctor's approval before the session.

9Limitation of liability

Our therapists take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and quality of the care provided. However, Clinique Le Refuge cannot be held responsible for reactions, discomfort, or consequences resulting from omitted, inaccurate, or late information about your health condition.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you, for any cause whatsoever, is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.

10Intellectual property

All content on Clinique Le Refuge's website — including text, images, logos, photographs, videos, and graphic elements — is protected by copyright laws and remains the exclusive property of the clinic or its partners. Any reproduction, distribution, or modification, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior written authorization.

11Privacy and information protection

Your personal information is collected, used, and protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy, established under the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Law 25, Québec).

12Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, without notice. The most recent version is always available on this page, along with the last updated date. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13Applicable law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in the province of Québec and applicable Canadian federal laws. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or application shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Drummond, province of Québec.
